Welcome to the The Stitching Post located in the suburbs of Baltimore MD!! We describe our shop as "a mini needlework festival all year round"-A STITCHER'S DELIGHT!!

The Stitching Post is a one-stop needlework shop specializing in counted cross stitch supplies and accessories.

Punched Paper (perforated paper) kits--use of sampler threads on brown perforated paper gives these designs an antique look: Home Sweet Home, God Bless Our Home, Merry Christmas, and Long May It Wave.
More punch needle designs have been added. Join the many who are enjoying needle punch--easy--quick--and can be finished in a number of ways. A variety of designs are on the market.

SHEPHERD’S BUSH 2000 Years Ago--designs from the previous Just CrossStitch Ornament magazines. Series is completed with a design in the 2004 Ornament issue.
The four-letter word monthly series will be complete with the arrival of the December chart. November’s four- letter word is GIVE.

BENT CREEK Brown Bird Sampler--companions to Blackbird Sampler and Redbird Sampler--each representing a season of the year. In the Zipper kit series the latest is Giving Thanks. Hollybird can be stitched and tucked in a small pillow.

MILL HILL Santa Noel--a book loaded with Christmas projects including some done on banding for quick finishing. Designs use treasure and beads and make wonderful decorations for the holiday season. A variety of finishing ideals are included in the pictures.
Simply Seasonal Windowpanes--stitched on 10 ct Tula (easy to see) using specialty threads and embellishments--a bimonthly series for 2005. A windowpane frame that is free standing or can be hung on the wall completes the project. Sign up if you are interested in each of the 6 designs in this series.

LONG DOG SAMPLERS Designs from Julia Line-a limited edition design called Renaissance uses one color of floss--your choice. Shown on the cover stitched on red fabric with white. Some have used an overdyed thread on a neutral background.designs.

DRAWN THREAD Souvenir Sampler is designed so that each stitcher can personalize the sampler with favorite buttons, scraps of Suggestions are given along with optional variations of designs used on the picture on the cover. Create your own one-of-a-kind sampler!

LORRI BIRMINGHAM DESIGNS Snowy Friends Trio--snowmen with dimensional carrot noses that can be finished as ornaments with a musical chip in each ornament. (When UPS driver delivered this package, he thought it was already Christmas--the chips were inadvertently pressed and music started playing. A musical package!!)

HEART IN HAND Christmas Medley, 2004 Keepsake Ornament, Christmas Bird and Thomas Wool Whimsey. Nicholas Wool Whimsey will arrive in November.

WAXING MOON Christmas Snow-- A neat winter project featuring a snowman looking at a star in the sky with snowflakes all around. A bunny and a cardinal in a tree watch the snow falling. A tree-shaped frame from Poppy Kreations adds just the right touch to this picture.

BLOCK BY BLOCK Each block is painted to go with the design that is stitched on perforated paper. Gold brads are used to attach the design to the block--finishing can’t be any easier!

LIZZIE KATE Flossie Claus--a companion to Nick--complete kit that finishes into a cute stand up. Ho Ho Scissor Case--shaped like a Christmas tree.
December Flip It Block--completes the series. Be sure to look at our wall hanging that uses specialty threads on Anne cloth. With a purchase of a wall hanging cut of Anne cloth, a list of the specialty threads will be included.

Need stocking patterns? The Better Homes and Garden Heirloom Stockings was unavailable for some time. It has been reprinted and is once again available. If you are contemplating stitching stockings for your family, you will want to take a look at this book.

TWISTED THREADS New designs in the Mini Gingham series--February Love and March Luck. One design each month--stitched over one and finished in a tin star. Change the design each month and have a nice accent piece to use in decorating.
