"Suzy's Surprize Stitches"
by Suzy Murphy

"A Banner Year"

by Suzy Murphy
Includes tent stitches, straight stitches, diagonal stitches, cross stitches, round and square stitches, and pattern stitches. At the back of the book are color models of each stitch, all stiched on 14 mesh canvas using Perle Cotton.

"Metallic Thread Embroidery:
A practical guide to stitching creatively with metallic threads"

by Jacqueline Friedman Kreinik
Step-by-step advice with inspirational color photography and clear line drawings, along with tips on reading the charts and a handy stitch library. Projects include:

  • Ribbon Embroidery
  • Surface Embroidery
  • Needlepoint
  • Counted Thread

"Suzy's Darn Stitches"
by Suzy Murphy
Inspired by patterns found in Scandinavian sweaters, these darning patterns make wonderful backgrounds, as they tend to recede and let the main design shine. At the back of the book are color models of each stitch, all stiched using Anchor Perle Cotton. The Gobelin Stitches between the darning patterns are done with Rainbow Gallery Silk and Cream and were used to bury the "Skip Steps."
