About the CDAThe Charted Designers Association is a nonprofit organization formed in 1979 to standardize and promote the charted design industry. It is made up of design companies, designers and suppliers specializing in the field of printed needlework charts, kits and patterns.Originally titled Charted Designers of America, the organization underwent a reorganization in 2002, which included changing the group name to Charted Designers Association. This new name reflects the growth of the needlework industry worldwide, and the group encompasses needlework designers from many countries.
