Couched Diamond Trellis

Can cover any number of fabric threads. Follow chart for area to fill. Stitch is worked in three steps.
STEP ONE: Bring the needle to the front at 1. Insert at 2, then up at 3. Continue working in the order indicated.
STEP TWO: Again bring the needle back to front at 13. Insert at 14 then up again at 15. Continue.
STEP THREE: Next, these long stitches are "tied down" with tiny stitches wherever they intersect. Bring the needle up at the intersection, cross it and go down in the same hole.
A regular Trellis Stitch does not have the anchoring stitches.
