Fly Stitch

(Y-Stitch and Open Loop Stitch)
This stitch is made of a series of a pair of stitches. Best worked in the "sewing" method. Bring the needle to the front at 1 and then back down at 2 forming a V-Shaped loop. Anchor the V-shape with a vertical stitch. Bring the needle up at 3 and down at 4. May be worked vertically or horizontally.
